What are Virtual Private Servers? (V.P.S)

Basically a VPS is a server that runs inside another server. Each VPS has the nuts and bolts of a dedicated server but shares the same hardware. Physical servers are divided into blocks of manageable virtual servers, while continuing to provide the scalability and root access that customers appreciate from a dedicated solution and stepping up the reliability from a shared plan. You get a guaranteed slice of the server's processing power with the chance to use a bigger share of CPU time if it is free. In addition, each VPS is completely (logically) separate from the others so there is no chance that some other VPS user can access your data from their VPS.

Who Uses Virtual Private Servers?
VPS is used by developers and designers who require full access to the operating system and the ability to load any application or programme they require to the server.
